Hello, I'm Lorenzo
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Rome, Italy.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What started as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly grew into something far bigger.
The first months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, elevated expectations. Routine tasks seemed more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of on-the-ground learning. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Built DaxTavMerOrv
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a real, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Italy.
What This Site Covers (And What It Doesn't)
What this site offers:
- Hands-on experience from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated when meaningful changes occur
This site isn't:
- A tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Italy continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Lorenzo
